Ashley brings more than 30 years of experience in international development and US government contracting in the U.S. and overseas, specializing in mid- and long-term growth strategies for growing and established businesses and nonprofits, and in making the most of business-development investments. She has an outstanding track record of growing revenue both through organic market expansion and innovative approaches (acquisitions, 8(a) small business set-asides, joint ventures, proteges and other strategic partnerships); building, growing, and retaining business development teams; and identifying and capitalizing on new and emerging market trends. She most recently worked for Dexis Consulting Group as its first Vice President of Business Development, where she founded and led the business development department as the company grew from $12M to $100M in revenue, successfully graduated from 8(a) small business status, and make three successful acquisitions. Before that, she served in business development leadership positions with Management Sciences for Health (US, Kenya) and the International Executive Service (US, Egypt, Zambia, South Africa, and Kenya), with short-term assignments or management oversight of programs in over 20 countries, primarily in Africa. She serves on the board of directors of Impact Network, a nonprofit focused on primary education and community development in Zambia, and sits on advisory boards of several small businesses. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut and multiple post-graduate certificates including Mergers and Acquisitions Mini-University (Association of Corporate Growth), Agile Management (University of Virginia Darden School), Leading Teams for Impact (Center for Creative Leadership), Strategic Management Executive Certificate (Duke University), and Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate (University of Arizona).
